Welcome to a new installment of the project.

TL;DR

Chronicles Conclusion:

Highly recommended for any Rpg enjoyer

Pros:

Good story

Very well designed characters and it's respective development

Original way of using the special abilities in the overworld

Fun turn based combat

Djinns, what more I have to say

Cons:

Need some grinding on certain points

Some parts of the story drags a little

Story starts very high but the lows are pretty lows (you play some hours without anything important happening)

The Prelude:

I won't be talking about the story because it's the best point by far of the duology, also I have to clarify that we have to play the games one after the other as one big story.

As a matter of explanation I will only talk about the first one and some bits of Lost Age to avoid absolutely any chance of spoilers.

One ends where the other is still going but they converge at some point to develop the story at is fullest.

The Story:

We control a group of "adepts" people sensible to Psynergy, the magic of this universe, powers like dragging things with the mind, putting things on fire, pushing, hitting, you get the grasp.

We witness a tragic event and then some years later we start our journey like the classical RPGs of the era, a simple innocent mission and then we are fighting to save the universe.

The game starts with an urgency feeling to present the first high point of the game

We have Djinns, the elementals of the earth but they have uses on combat, some interactions on the story and their whole personality, very nice touch.

The story circles around the 4 lighthouses present on this world, the story is pretty good so don't think that is basic, the twists worth the while.

We have a nice story, twists, secrets, plots that works as legends but slowly unravels, that's the heart of the game.

Starts with a "blow" this start the process of getting involved in a way that at first glance is hard to saw it coming.

In the end all wraps without loose ends, that's it's strongest point because is not common to put all that happens in a few dozen of hours.

The gameplay:

There's not much to say about this, a turn based combat, diverse abilities and elements, gear, and weaponry.

The classic combat all the way but the visuals are pretty nice and the different attacks have their respective animations.

A weakness system that works with the signs of the game, Mars - Venus for example.

This is specially important to understand when fighting the most hard bosses.

The layout is pretty simple but the combat is very graphical

The overworld is another story, a lot of the heart is here, puzzles, the model of the characters, some of the bosses looks pretty good outside the combat.

The psynergy are the direct reason of the good exploration of this game so don't sleep on the possibilities of reaching new locations solving a little puzzle now and then.

Jumping from one side to another make a good puzzle on certain parts

We explore a lot, in the dungeons, towns, the overworld in general, also the world map works with the map with little characters system.

Don't expect running around to cross from one town to another in a complex path or something like that.

Combat are basen on the classic random encounters but the graphics don't disappoint showing us the enemies with a good quality of design, what to say about the bosses, they're awesome.

The environments and dungeons are diverse and the characters works great because they also grow across the adventure

The Conclusions:

The game has aged like the wine, the story, characters and the use of psynergy could be an excellent idea today so imagine what it was im the old days.

This is an excellent rpg(both) and the use of being a "duology" works excellent for all that the game has to share.

All the legends like Lemuria and the different important characters of the past make an excellent context and maybe the game will surprise you once or twice if you're putting attention on all the lore.

To end, the game is a perfect entry point to an rpg, it's a little more hard than the average but nothing that a few minutes studying the game and how it's systems works will do wonders.

A recommendation with the seal of Quality Chronicles.
