5 Indies That You Absolutely Have To Play

Swag Chris Edition

Welcome to a new installment of the project.

This time five recommendations of indies that you absolutely can't miss (and maybe some bonus)

This time I ranked them in a subjective way, they're in the order of importance for me in my gaming life.

No doubt every one of them is of the highest quality and the only thing that I used to rank them was my opinion so practically nothing critical, with that aside, enjoy the top.

5.- Stardew Valley:

You seek a cozy game? Then this is for you, the best of it's genre in my opinion up to this day, an excellent game with a relaxing music and daily routine that you fastly can adapt to your own tastes.

Nice npcs with a lot of charisma, heart events and a farm, everything in one complete page, combat and rpg aspects, basic but they exist and work, for more details please check our review.

4.- Spelunky 1&2:

A platformer of excellent quality, both of them are some of the most important part of the indie popularity since Spelunky on the web and the Remake of the first one.

Gained the title of one of the best rougelikes and by all means is a great praise for an excellent quality job.

The sequel came and improved overall all the aspects of the first one, a bit more story, a whole lot of new levels, atmosphere, items and weapons, I can't do justice to the explanation solely on this text so you have to play them.

3.- Enter The Gungeon:

One of the best "bullet hell" games of the market, a rougelike with a personality that a lot of AAA dreams of.

This game has a good story(pretty basic but functional), a good gameplay and a little more variety of twists for the main run.

Bullets flying around and characters that have a great deal of charisma, what more can you need.

If this isn't enough, check the review right here.

2.- Dead Cells:

Imagine an excellent combat, a highly interesting lore crossovers with other indies and the opportunity of exploring Castlevania castle over again.

This is all of these and more, a game that climbed all the way to the top of incredible indie games and it's popularity let the developers get a lot of crossovers, helping the other awesome indie games in the process.

There is much to say about this game but in a brief resume, it's an action/roguelike game with a fast paced combat and a lot of upgrades and unlockables that helps with the Rpg aspects.

For more in detail analysis please check our review.

1.- Crosscode:

Whenever someone ask me about a game that has a lot of heart, this is the one that comes to my mind a lot of times.

An action/adventure rpg with touches of rpg and a simple but effective story that unravels a lot more like a classic Snes era rpg, starts slow and pretty basic but have an special feeling.

The story is awesome and certain parts of the game are some of the best chapters I have played in a videogame ( The section of the lost map with all those characters that abandoned hope still make me feel chills.

Sadly I haven't reviewed it yet but in the near future I will.

For now just trust me, it's an marvelous game with a lot of unique qualities and personality that plays the same as you remember those old era Rpgs and one of my personal favorites.
