What's up dear readers, welcome to a new installment of the project.

Seeking a game that doesn't have the spotlight it deserves?

Love puzzles mixed for some reason with visual novels/dating sim?

This is your game.

TLDR Section:
Chronicles Conclusion:
Highly Recommended and a must for lovers of Puzzle and Romance Stories

Pros:
Big replayability
Anime cinemas that fits perfectly
Fun and interesting gameplay
Unique and charismatic characters
Great story & Diverse endings for all tastes
Original gameplay
Good curve of difficult
Well implemented "practice mode"

Cons:
Some story parts tends to overstay their welcome
Short for people with skill on puzzles (8-10 hours being decent)
The choices of the game are pretty straight forward, two opposite sides and that's it.
Some endings are pretty basic comparing them to others way more polished

Let's start this review asking why there's no more games of this world/universe, this game is pretty original and to this day the only thing that we got was the "Full body" edition with a lot of improvements and extended story so at least is something.

I will only talk about the story mode, the extras are good for an afternoon of nothing to do but they're not new and at the same time pretty basic but works and that is what counts.

For the "Full body" we have a new character presented on the very introductory beginning of the game, "Rin" and I won't say anything more because the story is very important for the game to work and the spoilers will be maintained on a minimum without context.

Rin is an excellent new addition to the story

Also as a little easter egg that the fans of Atlus love, this game happens somewhere in the universe of SMT.

Persona has some little winks to this game too, nothing important but is appreciated, our retrospective of Persona 3 is here for anyone that want to know what it's that saga.

The Retrospective will be more small than normal because the strongest points of this game are the story (we won't have spoilers) and gameplay (very fun and replayable for diverse paths but not so much to explain without spoilers).

We will explain everything important about the game and hope that whoever read this like it enough for playing the game.

Don't worry we work contextual with the game, every installment will be the long that is necessary so we won't be cutting the length of our work.

You can also choose the Puzzle difficult and type, to avoid confusion I recommend the ones on the image for a first try

The Story:
This will be a brief section because the game is heavily driven by the story and the players decisions, only a couple no context spoilers here and there, nothing critical or that can kill the experience.

We play as Vincent a pretty much normal dude with a group of friends, a girlfriend and the habit of hitting a bar almost daily.

This is how the gameplay is presented, pretty good, you don't know what it's happening, only that you need to survive.

After the first hour of game (approximately) we will be hit with the twist in the story and from then we are on a loop at Persona style, on the nights we are fighting for our lives in the puzzles and on the other side before bed we will be interacting with the unique characters this game has to offer on a very peculiar bar.

Also every time we solve some levels, we reach a  part where some diverse characters will be there so we will be able to talk with them, plus more ahead is a confessional that will question our resolve about certain things, these questions are very important because your choices will lead you on a path or another.

The story is actually pretty good, some times we will be on the gameplay loop a lot more than the story, on the other side advances so certain moments will be more intense than other but you can take that moments as breathers to live the social part of Vincent and discover his own emotions behind.

You will be playing an Anime with choices that make a very well crafted mix of humor and serious situations

The gameplay:

You will be playing a lot of levels, with unique ambience, tones and very different gimmicks from the first to the last levels, the curve of difficulty is on point but on some cases rises a little more than necessary, nothing to worry about.

For example in the middle levels I crashed on a wall a lot of times because some moves were pretty advanced for my style.

Maybe I "solved in the wrong way" these puzzles and learned way to late, so it's up to you to conclude that, I repeat myself, it's nothing to worry about but was strange to me.

The levels are basically a climb the tower time trial with lots of hazards and other "sheep's" with different patterns, all trying to kill you, attacking you or don't letting you move in total freedom.

When you reach this, you can breathe in peace for some moments

In Conclusion:

I know that I touched in a very superficial way the game but honestly, it's hard to touch the subject without spoiling a lot.

I just want to conclude saying that the game has a lot to offer and this retrospective objective was to awake the curiosity of playing it at least once.

The game worth at least for my opinion three to four playthroughs to see the best endings (in a quality measure), the first one in complete honesty and the subsequent plays, for reaching specific endings and experiment all the gameplay.

Every ending has its exclusive levels so take that on account and take my word that they worth the trouble of replaying the base levels again just for the exclusive ones.

Thanks for reaching the end, hope that you continue supporting us on this journey!
