Hello dear readers , this is a month to celebrate, all the fans of Pikmin must be very happy and I know for sure because I am very happy.

We are getting ready for an adventure that we had to wait for almost ten years, and a little less if you played recently the saga for the first time but finally it's almost here.

First thing,  for any new player or someone who wants a refresh of the saga, what's Pikmin?, the response can be a big surprise.

Pikmin is a real-time strategy game , yes I know that can be strange coming from Nintendo, the beginnings of the saga were some of the most punishing games of the GameCube if you didn't know what you were doing.

The game comes with a dog, can you do need more?

Coming back to Pikmin 4 , you control a little army of little plant-like creatures named Pikmin, they're friendly and take orders from the astronaut that we control.

You can get them pulling them from the ground in certain parts of the map, also the game aren't an army vs army, it's more about exploring and getting treasures, they're typical things of our world but in a decaying state or also fruits.

The pikmins are what separates the game on two genres , adventure and strategy.

An ability that you need is the multitasking, you will be doing a lot of things at the same time, not always but most of the time you will be fighting , carrying something or solving a puzzle, or the three at once.

This game could have the most beautiful graphics of Switch

The world is full of predators and you must fight them with your Pikmin army, the controls are  very familiar.

If you played any other Pikmin or in special Pikmin 3 Deluxe, few moments with the control and you will feel the muscle memory kicking in.

For those who didn't played any Pikmin before, you have them following you and can be throwed to the enemies the same way if you throwed rocks at them, they will stick to the enemy and start hitting them to the death.

If you kill any enemy or get flower seeds (giant button-like things with numbers on it)  depending on the size, you will get the choice of use Pikmins to carry them to their base and increase their numbers.

The world is pretty big too

Of course you have to cover them all the way or let them go alone and hope that them will be fine.

This game also adds the night expeditions , a new style of gameplay but I won't talk about it more than the fact that is like a tower defense , the other addition are the caves.

These where lost on the previous part of the saga, scenarios where the time passes slowly and are generally more dangerous so be careful.

Entering on the story, you must explore the world finding castaways and that's when Oatchi enters the fight, he's a dog and also a hero unit on the hierarchy of RTS.

You can ride him and guide your army to the fight

Oatchi it's helpful on two ends , helps on the battles the same way as a powerful Pikmin, have special skills that you can upgrade or carry the equivalent to ten Pikmins.

On the story he will be getting stronger with buffs and you can ride it to fight hand to hand or run across the map faster, without a doubt this is one of the best implementations of the game.

The other end is the ability to follow the scent of the castaways that you have to rescue, the central point of the story and the sole reason for be on this dangerous planet.

Along the game you can upgrade your character, things like permanent upgrades, change their looks or health, a thing new for the saga and a very well received improvement.

To end the preview I must say that the game feels pretty fun, a thing worth mentioning is by the word of a developer that this will be a new entry point for the saga.

You don't have to play the prequels before this one, also it have some multiplayer modes, they look fun and I looked at some gameplays for them.

They're pretty straight forward like a race to see who does more points, sadly I couldn't play them because they're split screen only, I hope this changes on the full release.

I hope you liked this new section, I cannot promise a review for the full game on the release date but I will do everything on my end to get it done.

Bosses are also a thing to remember
